New Zealand Music Week #2

NEW ZEALAND MUSIC WEEK #2 3rd - 9th Sept on 95 bFM.

Once again 95 bFM has surpassed its own previous efforts to bring you a fresh batch of local bands playing live on your radio all week.

The criteria this time around was to find bands who were not amongst the seventy acts to have performed at either of the last two NZ Music Weeks, (Aug 2000 & May 2001). To this end we decided that it would be a good idea to try not to cram as many live-to-air performances into the five days as we have previously. We are delighted to present 20 great local outfits performing between Breakfast on Monday 3rd and Drive on Friday 7th. They are;

Monday 3rd:
9am - The Brunettes
11am - Pasticene
3pm - Tape
5pm - Dam Native

Tuesday 4th:
9am - Tahuva
11am - Flex Electro Delux
3pm - Skuldom
5pm - Indicator Dogs

Wednesday 5th:
9am - Thirty Cycle Hum
11am - Sangha
3pm - The Revengers
5pm - Che Fu & The Krates

Thursday 6th:
9am - Voom
11am - One Million Dollars
3pm - Forensics
5pm - The D4

Friday 7th:
9am - Pan Am
11am - International Observer
3pm - Phelps & Munro
5pm - D-Super

This live-to-air series is proudly brought to you by Export Gold and with the kind cooperation of New Zealand On Air, College Hill Productions and Mainline Music (Greenlane). Don't forget that we will also be broadcasting the 2001 b Net New Zealand Music Awards live from the Bruce Mason Centre on Friday 7th Sept, from 8pm until it finishes around 11pm.

So if you can't make it to the big event, be sure to tune-in on Friday evening to hear some humour, some winners and some excellent live acts. In addition to this flurry of live-to-air activities, bFM will be broadcasting six recently produced episodes of our award-wining NZ music documentary series "Inside Track".

You can hear these on "The Wire" between 12 and 2pm each day, from Monday 3rd through until Saturday 8th. As if all this wasn't enough, you will of course be experiencing 100% local content on the b for 24 hours a day, right up until 11.59pm on Sunday evening (9th).

95 bFM - We'd kill ourselves for New Zealand music!

Dubhead. (Programme Director).
