A Lotto Division One winning ticket worth more than $650,000 has only a week left in which to be claimed.
The ticket, purchased from Peter Dunkerley Amcal Chemist in Hastings, won the $652,478 Division One prize in the Lotto draw on Saturday, 9 September last year.
According to Lotto rules, the ticket must be claimed within 12 months of the date of the draw in which it won a prize so whoever is holding the ticket has until next weekend to claim their prize.
Lotteries Commission spokesperson Marilyn Hooper says people who believe they might have the winning ticket can claim their prize at any Lotto retailer or bring the ticket to the Commission’s Wellington Head Office for validation.
“We have a range of information about the ticket – what type of ticket it is, when it was sold and so on – that we can’t release because it might impact on someone’s ability to claim their prize. However, we really want this prize to be claimed so are encouraging anyone who bought a ticket from Peter Dunkerley Amcal Chemist in Hastings for draw 688 on Saturday, 9 September last year to have a really good look for their ticket,” she says.
