From the 14th through 29th of September at 7.30pm strident will be performing their new work counterclockwise. Hot on the tail of their sell out success at the 2001 Wellington Fringe Festival where they were awarded best dance of the Fringe.
Working with their winning formula, Wellington's hottest choreographers interact with musicians playing original compositions, and experiment with a lighting designer to create a surreal environment inspiring operatic, filmic movement.
Exploding the stereotypical dinner table narrative, strident stretches the possibilities of dance appreciation by experimenting with film and projection, incorporating a more on line world.
strident is Sarah Sproull, Claire Martin, Katarina Waldner, Justine Cooper & Lyn Pringle. Live music by Peter Daube and Sebastian Morgan-Lynch. Lighting by Martyn Roberts.
