Sky City Union Picket - The best show in town tonight
Following on the sensational success of the Sky City Workers' picket last Saturday night; workers will once again picket outside Auckland's casino tonight.
The 300 strong presence of workers and their supports at last Saturday nights picket will be bettered tonight and with music created by Pacific Island drums, Chinese bells, Kiwi cowbells, whistles, loudhailers, singing in many languages, conga lines around the Sky Tower and much more this promises to be an eventful evening - most definitely the best show in town!
Sky casino patrons are not averse to showing their support for the workers either with a bus of Korean visitors joining in last week along with many other Sky City patrons, their overwhelming message of support for the workers being "good on ya".
The Sky City pickets are a lot of fun, but there is a very serious message being delivered to Sky City management - to get back to the negotiating table and improve their miserly offer to workers.
For further information contact Ms Darien Fenton on 025 360 089 (mobile) or 09 810 9226 (evenings and weekends).
Sky City workers will protest outside the main entrance of Sky City tonight, Friday 10th August from 7pm - 9pm.
