British Lions Tour Of Australia Live On Sky
The first Lions Tour of Australia in twelve years will be shown live and exclusive on SKY Television starting Friday 8th June 2001.
The series commences with the Lions versus Western Australia, which will screen on SKY Sport 2 at 10.30pm (NZ Time) on Friday 8th June.
Kevin Cameron, SKY Television’s Director of Sport said that this series holds a special interest for New Zealanders, given that a New Zealander Graham Henry is coaching the British Lions for the very first time.
“England are now undeniably one of the strongest teams in world rugby and they form the backbone of an impressive British Lions team. It will be fascinating to see how they perform against the world champion Wallabies. This tour is even more eagerly anticipated than the last Lions tour to Australia in 1989, which the British Lions won 2-1” said Cameron
All remaining games broadcast (including the three tests) will be screened LIVE and exclusive on SKY Sport and replayed on SKY Sport 2.
