RADAR Timor ODDyssey
Season: Monday 14 - Saturday 19 May Time: 8.30pm Tickets: waged $15.00 / concession $12.00
The shocking documentary the television networks didn¹t want screened.
Every so often a documentary is made that the television networks find too shocking to be screened. In New Zealand one such documentary has just been completed. It is called Timor ODDyssey, and it is the story of one mans journey from New Zealand, across Australian and into strife torn East Timor.
Timor ODDyssey originated in February 2000, when New Zealand comedian Radar, disillusioned with the state of New Zealand television comedy, resolved to become a war correspondent. With this in mind he decided to travel to East Timor to assess the current situation.
The film of this epic journey is the basis of Timor ODDyssey, which will be screened during the 2001 TV2 International LAUGH! Festival. Radar will be providing a live voiceover as narrative at each screening.
