Vodafone Warriors Name Team to Take on the Northern Eagles

Auckland, New Zealand, February 20, 2001 – Vodafone Warriors Coach
Daniel Anderson today named the team to line up against the Northern Eagles at North Power Stadium this Sunday.

“We’ve learnt a lot from the game against Canberra. Although we’d played one warm up game against the Canterbury Bulls in Christchurch, we really had no meaningful yard stick to measure our strengths and weaknesses as a team.”

“Sunday’s game has been a valuable indicator of where we need to concentrate. We conceded several soft tries, but we also demonstrated the Vodafone Warriors are a team with the depth and strength to make the opposition work hard. We just need to harden up and not let those easy points get away from us.”

“Throughout the rest of the week we’ll be concentrating on correcting our mistakes and making sure we utilize key players. I’m looking forward to seeing how the guys shape up against the Northern Eagles.”

Kick off at North Power Stadium, Gosford, NSW will be at 4pm local time.
