VERSACE BUTTONS FOR ART CAR
Christchurch interior decorator George Chimiri will be decorating the Mayor’s Art Car at the Centre for Contemporary Art, Gloucester Street, tomorrow Wednesday 1 November with buttons imported from the House of Versace.
Mr Chimiri will decorate the car’s dashboard with the buttons.
The car – a 1965 Vanden Plas Princess R – will be decorated in the front window of the CoCA gallery until November 19 when Christchurch’s Mayor Garry Moore will take delivery of the car.
He says he wants to use the car to inject fun into the city.
Mr Chimiri will be at the gallery fixing his buttons both morning and afternoon.
