Over the next two weeks Wellington comedians will get the chance to compete for a prestigious spot in TV2's Pulp Comedy.
The sixth season of the popular television show is due to film in November, and the producers are now searching for the
country's top comedy talent.
Wellington's Pulp Comedy trials will be held on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 September at Indigo Bar and Venue, 171 Cuba
Street. Comedians selected to trial will perform in front of judges from Pulp Comedy's production company, Phoenix
Television, and from Comedyfest.
Each night will be packed with an array of the Capital's finest comic performers, many of whom are already Pulp Comedy
veterans. The best of these performers will go on to appear in series 6 of Pulp Comedy.
Up-and-coming standup comedians not already chosen to trial will have the opportunity to win a spot in the trials at
"Fresh Pulp", to be held at Indigo on Thursday 21 September.
This showcase of new talent will feature up to 18 of Wellington's freshest new comedians - a marathon night of comedy.
Four Fresh Pulp performers will be selected to go through to the Pulp Comedy trials the following week.
