Her first book since the hugely successful The Vinters Luck (now topping 36,000 sales and 18 months in the bestseller list), The High Jump is made up of three of Knox's earlier novellas, in a revised form with the addition of an afterword. The novel recollects a New Zealand childhood in the late 60s and 70s - maybe a bit too recent for your mum to relate to directly, but she'll love Knox's familiar settings and Kiwi style.
