FORGET THE CINEMA. PHILIPS MATCHLINE IS HERE - WATCHING IS BELIEVING
New Real flat screen TV gives sharp audio-visual quality using breakthrough real flat screen technology.
A new 29-inch television set is poised to give cinema operators a run for their money. Yet another technological improvement from the company whose products are in nearly every household worldwide, the Philips Matchline is the discerning consumer's answer to a home cinema.
The Philips Matchline puts an end to the consumer search for a "perfect" TV. Thanks to Real Flat tube technology, sharp pictures and perfect images can be viewed from any angle of the entire screen - even at the corners and edge.
Marketing Manager Philips Consumer Electronics - Audio/Video, Mr Brett McMeekin says that Philips is able to virtually eliminate picture distortion with the real flat tube, a technological breakthrough over the rounded conventional tubes
"In particular, the Real Flat tube significantly cuts glare and light reflection from the screen, which enhances viewing comfort in all conditions, including bright daylight. This is because the Real Flat tube has extra-high contrast with brilliant colours and high brightness, unlike the rounded conventional tubes," he says.
Philips is bringing in a new model from mid October to be followed with an expanded product rollout in the near future.
"These new sets in the Matchline range are amongst the top in Philips' extensive range of TVs," Brett McMeekin says.
"Together with Philips' multitude of innovative products, they provide the ultimate in home entertainment, helping to make life better for consumers by giving them a wide berth of choices."
As part of its new range, Philips is also introducing two new plasma models - the latest 42-inch plasma television and plasma monitor, in early November.
The 42-inch plasma television is the ideal display for watching TV programmes and movies. This simple, yet sophisticated set has ultra-slim depth enabling it to be hung on the wall just like a painting, and combines quality viewing with quality design. It is designed to complement the users own interior dcor and comes in a range of four interchangeable colour frames.
Alternatively, the plasma monitor offers an excellent multimedia display with incredible picture and sound quality. This monitor is similar to the Philips plasma television but does not have an on- board receiver. It is able to display quality multimedia presentations and Internet from PC or from Mac 11, as well as run videos and DVDs through the screen.
