Striking The Balance Between AI-Power And New Tech - Go Lend

Go Lend, New Zealand’s innovative peer-to-peer lending platform, has quickly gained momentum since its official launch in December, attracting over 20,000 visitors in just three months. The platform, developed over 14 months with a $2 million NZD investment from its founders, empowers Kiwi investors to “be the bank” by participating in property-secured loans with fixed returns starting at 8%—significantly higher than traditional term deposits.

Since its initial testing phase in August, Go Lend has refined its platform to create a scalable, user-friendly experience that appeals to both new and experienced investors. The platform’s success reflects a growing demand for accessible, high-yield investment opportunities in New Zealand’s property market.

By combining advanced AI, automation, and human oversight, Go Lend offers a seamless and cost-effective alternative to conventional investment options. Investors can start with as little as $1,000, selecting loans that align with their financial goals while benefiting from monthly interest payouts and fully automated settlements. Every loan is pre-funded and underwritten by Go Lend, ensuring security and peace of mind for users.

Go Lend Chief Executive Officer Luke Jackson highlights the platform’s efficiency: “We’ve removed the traditional bottlenecks of investing, meaning no customer wait time and streamlined operations. Our technology automates everything from settlements to interest payments, allowing us to deliver better returns by cutting unnecessary costs. Our new customers have asked why we have better returns than other competitors. The reality is we’ve slashed the human staff cost out of our expense model, and this translates to maximum customer gains.” he says.

Each loan is pre-funded and underwritten by Go Lend before it’s put live onto the site, adding an extra layer of trust for customers. The new tech platform automatically pays out fixed income interest to investors on a monthly basis into their Go Lend wallet.

Jackson adds, “AI enhances our processes, such as policy management and risk assessment, while our team ensures reliability. It’s a powerful combination that gives investors both speed and confidence. We invested significantly at the front end of our business to develop and own this tech because nothing on the market aligned with our vision for New Zealand investors and we are really proud of this tech we’ve built.”

Go Lend customers are spoilt for choice with the ability to select their own bespoke portfolio of loans. The loan repayments are automated at maturity with the funds landing into investor wallets with ease and the ability to withdraw or reinvest their wallet funds.
