New $50K Media Grant To Boost Visibility Of Māori Business In Public Spaces

Aotearoa – oOh!media New Zealand and Whāriki Māori Business Network have today launched Te Whakatairanga Grant – a new initiative offering Māori-owned businesses the opportunity to win a $50,000 media package to promote their brand and kaupapa across oOh!’s extensive digital network.

Open exclusively to Whāriki members, the grant aims to spotlight Māori enterprise in the public domain and support growth through increased visibility and storytelling at scale.

“Te Whakatairanga Grant is about amplifying the voices and values of Māori businesses while also unlocking real commercial opportunity,” says Mark Banbrook (Te Rarawa), National Sales Director of oOh!media New Zealand. “Through our extensive network, we connect brands with millions of New Zealanders daily, and we’re proud to partner with Whāriki to help Māori enterprises expand their reach and strengthen their presence in public spaces.”

Applications open on 1 May 2025and close on 22 May 2025, with the winner to be announced on 28 May 2025. The successful applicant will receive a tailored campaign with access to oOh!’s nationwide digital network – from street furniture to retail panels – to promote their business to a broad and diverse audience.

The winning campaign must be delivered by 1 October 2025, and applicants must be current Whāriki members at the time of entry. Full details and entry form are available via here.
