PRESS RELEASE

New Board Appointment at the Takeovers Panel

Takeovers Panel Board Chair Andy Coupe today announced the appointment of Megan Glen to the Takeovers Panel, the government’s regulator of the corporate takeovers market.

Megan Glen is a Manager within the Direct Investments team at the NZ Super Fund. Prior to joining the Super Fund, Megan was an investment banker in New York with Credit Suisse and in New Zealand with FNZC. She has a broad range of experience in merger and acquisition transactions and securities offerings.

When announcing the appointment, Mr Coupe said, “Ms Glen’s wealth of investment banking knowledge and experience will be a valuable resource to the Panel. We are delighted to have her on board.”

This new appointment is effective from 20 May 2019 for a term of five years.

Mr Coupe also acknowledged and thanked outgoing member Roger Wallis. “Roger is one of the country’s pre-eminent corporate lawyers and has made an extremely valuable contribution to the Panel’s jurisprudence since his appointment in 2011” said Mr Coupe.
