Anna Kominik will become the Electricity Retailers’ Association’s (ERANZ) Independent Chair following the departure of current Chair Jennie Langley at the end of May.
“I’m delighted at the appointment of Ms Kominik,” Ms Langley says. “She will be a strong independent leader for the ERANZ Board, bringing to the table decades of experience in communications, corporate governance, and senior management.”
Ms Kominik is presently the New Zealand Director of Zephyr Airworks and currently serves on the boards of the US/NZ Business Council, the New Zealand International Festival of the Arts, and the Peter McKenzie Project/JR McKenzie Trust Child Poverty Project.
“It’s an exciting time to be working in the electricity industry,” Ms Kominik says.
“I look forward to working with ERANZ and continuing its strong work furthering competition and sustainability in the retail electricity market and driving the electricity sector’s support of families at greatest risk of energy hardship.”
Ms Kominik will start as Chair on 1 June 2019.
Ms Langley says, “I’ve really enjoyed being Independent Chair during ERANZ’s establishment and having the opportunity to be a part of the significant changes the electricity industry has started and will continue to make.”
“I’m proud of what we’ve achieved in the past three years, building ERANZ from a newly founded organisation to an active participant in the industry.”
