Vodafone extends Gigatown in Dunedin
Vodafone is painting the town red with its exciting Gigatown offer. The company announced it is extending Gigatown in Dunedin.
The original Chorus Gigatown deal expires at the end of June this year, at which point the subsidised wholesale price for gigabit fibre will increase in line with the rest of the country. Vodafone is committed to offering a special deal to Gigatown area customers to enable them to continue getting Fibre Max speeds at the current price for a further 12 months.
Vodafone’s Consumer Director, Carolyn Luey says, “Keeping our customers connected is hugely important to us, especially if we can offer these Fibre Max speeds at the current price. All customers in the Gigatown area are eligible to take up this offer and we encourage everyone who wants to continue getting the superfast broadband speeds they love to get on board.
“Fibre Max speeds and services are a key part of digitally enabling New Zealand. Gigatown customers will be able to access online streaming, gaming, working and browsing at ultra-fast speeds with no compromise to quality, and we’re excited to keep Kiwi homes in Gigatown connected – especially with the major sports events coming up later this year.
“If you’re an existing Vodafone Gigatown customer, the good news is you won’t need to do anything – your plan will continue at the current price for another year,” Luey said.
Gigatown residents not currently with Vodafone will be able to sign up to this offer from now until the end of June.
