Stuff and PocketWise join forces to help Kiwis make better financial choices
PocketWise, a digital comparison and shopping service to help Kiwis make wiser financial decisions, has signed a strategic partnership with Stuff, New Zealand’s leading media organisation and number one news website.
The agreement will give a significant boost to the number of consumers PocketWise can reach - tapping into the 3.2 million Kiwis that connect with Stuff’s platforms every month, including New Zealand’s largest news site, stuff.co.nz - enabling them to offer the useful and independent financial service to more Kiwis.
Launched in late 2017 with the vision to help New Zealanders save more money, PocketWise helps consumers compare and shop for home loans, KiwiSaver funds, credit cards, international money transfer services, term deposits, and personal loans.
Binu Paul, PocketWise co-founder, says: “There has always been an information imbalance between consumers of financial products and its providers, such as banks and insurance companies - and that’s where PocketWise comes in, providing a simple and seamless experience for consumers of financial products.”
With easy-to-use, technology-enabled solutions that empower consumers, PocketWise better informs consumers of the options available, ultimately enabling a better deal for consumers and lowering costs through automation.
“While it’s one thing to create the best solutions for consumers, we want to ensure the most number of Kiwis get the benefit of our hard work. Our agreement with Stuff gives us a strong platform for distributing our services further. We are all very excited about this new development.”
Scott Brown, Commercial Director Ventures & Strategy at Stuff, adds: “We’re stoked to be working with the team at PocketWise to extend our trusted reach for good - they’re passionate about getting Kiwis a better deal with financial products which aligns with our own purpose of helping Kiwis connect and thrive in their communities.”
