Nikko Asset Management New Zealand Limited (“Nikko AM NZ”) has again won New Zealand Fund Manager of the Year at the Morningstar Awards, the second year in a row it has picked up the accolade.

The Morningstar Awards honour funds and fund managers worldwide who have added the most value for investors. Fund Manager of the Year recognises consistency of performance across multiple categories.

Nikko AM NZ won New Zealand Fund Manager of the Year 2019 – the same award it won in 2018 – and was again a finalist in the three asset class categories: Domestic Equities, International Equities, and Fixed Interest.

Nikko AM NZ Manager Director George Carter says it’s an honour to collect Morningstar’s top NZ award in consecutive years, proving not only consistency of performance across multiple categories, but also multiple years.

“This comes as we continue to develop our retail offering for individual Kiwi investors, including the Nikko AM KiwiSaver Scheme launched last April, and our digital advice platform which investors will be able to access very soon”, says Carter.

"For decades we’ve been trusted to manage the assets for many of New Zealand's leading institutions; now we're also committed to providing progressive solutions that let all Kiwis access our services and reach their financial goals."

Other recent awards include FundSource Fund Manager of the Year 2018, INFINZ Fund Manager of the Year (Bonds) 2018, and INFINZ Fund Manager of the Year (Equities) 2017.
