Unisys Appoints Rick Mayhew to Lead Company’s Business in Asia Pacific
Two internal Unisys promotions see Rick Mayhew appointed as vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific and Rick Mathot as vice president services, Asia Pacific
WELLINGTON, 28 February 2019 – Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced two internal promotions to senior Asia Pacific executive roles. Rick Mayhew is appointed vice president and general manager, Unisys Asia Pacific, and Rick Mathot appointed vice president services, Unisys Asia Pacific.
In his new role, Rick Mayhew has P responsibility for Unisys’ business in the Asia Pacific region and is accountable for setting and delivering the strategic and operational plans for the business. He replaces Tony Windever who has left the company. In 2018 Asia Pacific generated 15 percent of Unisys’ global total non-GAAP adjusted revenue and the region grew non-GAAP adjusted revenue 13 percent year on year in constant currency. It was Unisys’ second fastest growing region in 2018 in constant currency.
Mayhew joined Unisys from Nokia in 2017 as the vice president of services and in that time the company’s Net Promoter Score, the industry recognised measure of client satisfaction, increased to be twice industry average globally, and even higher in Asia Pacific.
Mayhew is a dual Olympian having represented South Africa in the ‘92 and ‘96 Olympic Games for yachting. In his early career, he held management roles for technology in the Sydney Olympic Organising Committee. He also brings considerable international experience across Asia and the U.S.
Rick Mathot moves into Rick Mayhew’s previous role of vice president services. In this role he is responsible for service delivery across the region to ensure clients receive a seamless quality of service across transformational and managed services programs. Mathot joined Unisys in 2018 as the director of cloud and infrastructure services for Unisys Asia Pacific and brings more than 20 years’ experience in regional and global roles, helping organisations achieve their transformation objectives.
Eric Hutto, vice president and president, Enterprise Solutions said: “We have a very strong leadership team in Asia Pacific which enabled these internal promotions to ensure stability for our clients, our people and continued growth for the company. I look forward to working closely with Rick and the team to accelerate our business momentum in Asia Pacific among a wide range of enterprise clients and vertical markets.”
