Kevin Tatem to take the helm for STAAH’s Southeast Asia operations
The industry veteran has been appointed as the first Managing Director for STAAH in Southeast Asia and will be driving the rapid growth of its business and 6000+ partner properties around the world.
[Auckland, 5 February 2019]: With full responsibility for the leadership and development of STAAH’s Southeast Asia business, Kevin will play a key role in meeting STAAH’s aggressive growth goals as well as building on the company’s outstanding reputation for cutting-edge technology and service.
Kevin brings with him more than a decade of leadership experience and native knowledge of hospitality technology. He headed property management system (PMS) provider Frontdesk Anywhere’s APAC operations before moving into his current role at STAAH.
“In today’s dynamic distribution environment, the hospitality industry must be able to count on technological excellence in supplying solutions that improve profitability and efficiency,” says Kevin. “This is especially true for Southeast Asia that is a tourist hub and attracts a diverse range of travellers from around the world.”
“I am delighted to join STAAH, a company I believe is ideally situated to respond to the technological challenges and give its partner properties time to focus on hospitality skills that enable excellent guest experiences.”
The appointment sees Kevin take over a market where STAAH already has a deserved reputation of delivering high-performing technology at an affordable price and excellent service.
“STAAH is well placed to capitalise on the growth opportunities presented by this region’s improving market. I have watched STAAH grow and evolve with great interest over the years and I am excited to join the management team that will take it to the next level of global success.”
In addition to more than a decade in distribution technology for hotels, Kevin has served in sales management and business development roles for computer software and insurance financial firms in APAC, including Apex Consulting, AEGON, Hubb Financial Group and the global training and consulting provider, Pink Elephant. He is a dynamic speaker and panelist, frequently sharing his insights and expertise at industry events.
“Kevin’s track record, international experience and contacts in the profession are second to none and we are thrilled to have him on board,” says Gavin Jeddo, Founding Director of STAAH Ltd. “Attracting someone of Kevin’s calibre into the business is a great endorsement of our strategy and ambition. He brings with him incredibly strong knowledge and experience which will be vital as we continue our ambitious plans to grow and develop technology solutions for our clients."
Based in Sydney, Kevin will be supported by a locally-based sales and support team based in STAAH’s offices in Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines.
