ServiceIQ is delighted to announce that new travel agents can now be assessed quickly and easily online to gain the industry’s professional qualification. Doing away with paperwork will also make it easy for users to complete the qualification at work.
The New Zealand Certificate in Travel (Level 4) is the benchmark qualification for the Travel Agents Association of New Zealand (TAANZ) and preferred for all retail travel agents in New Zealand.
TAANZ CEO Andrew Olsen says travel is a fast-moving industry where customers expect the best service, and technology that can help speed up these important processes is fantastic news for travel businesses nationwide.
“We’ve all been looking forward to this kind of innovation and it’s great that it has arrived,” says Andrew.
The new online version puts the programme at the fingertips of travel staff in their workplace where they can continue to earn as they learn and qualify. There’s no need to go off site.
By successfully completing the qualification, agents are recognised for the skills, knowledge and expertise they have learned on-job with their employer’s systems and processes.
“Industry employers already do an excellent job at training and developing their staff. The qualification is the ultimate test and proof of high-level professional acumen,” says Andrew.
The New Zealand Certificate in Travel (Level 4) programme tests a trainee’s application and breadth and depth of knowledge of a wide range of disciplines including: customer service, product advice, sales, accurate communications, literacy, numeracy, problem-solving skills, developing and maintaining customer relationships, self-management, teamwork, compliance with relevant Acts and legislation, detailed knowledge of specific travel regions, broad operational knowledge of world geography, and operational systems and processes that help deliver a quality customer experience and contribute to overall business effectiveness.
The online version of this qualification programme is available now from ServiceIQ. To apply or find out more, please contact your ServiceIQ training advisor, call 0800 863 693, or email Intel@ServiceIQ.org.nz
