Unisys Stealth® Wins Latest Cybersecurity Award
Unisys Stealth® Wins Latest Cybersecurity Award at the 2018 Tekne Awards
WELLINGTON, New Zealand, 21 December 2018 – Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced the Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA) has namedUnisys Stealth® as the recipient of the 2018 Tekne Award in the Cybersecurity Award category. The Tekne Awards honour companies, individuals and technologies that positively impact the lives and futures of people around the world.
Tekne Awards judges selected Stealth™ based on its innovation, value proposition and business impact, with much of the innovation originating from Unisys’ team of engineers based in Minnesota. Providing essential components of a zero-trust security model such as ecosystem visibility and encrypted isolation, Stealth microsegmentation software protects endpoints, isolating them from untrusted network segments within a Stealth-protected network to help prevent intrusion – securing the corporate network from potential compromises initiated from unsecured devices. By joining a Stealth-defined, secure Community of Interest, high-value devices are shielded from unauthorised access, reducing the attack surface.
The Tekne Award for Stealth follows a recent award in September 2018 from The Philadelphia Business Journal, which recognized Stealth and Unisys with its“Healthcare Innovator of the Year” Award for identity-based, encrypted microsegmentation to protect IoT and connected medical devices. In addition, Frost & Sullivan recognized Stealth with its North American Customer Value Leadership Award in 2017. The award, based on Frost & Sullivan’s recent analysis of the automated encrypted network security solution market, cited Stealth as outstanding for its use of microsegmentation, encryption, authentication and authorisation techniques to protect an organisation’s valuable data whether in data centers, any cloud or on PCs, mobile devices and industrial control systems.
Unisys has maintained a tradition of engineering innovation in the state for more than 60 years.
“We very much appreciate this award, the latest in a series of accolades from associations, analysts and partners that recognize the innovation in Stealth,” said Vishal Gupta, Chief Technology Officer for Unisys. “This and other awards affirm Unisys’ approach to promoting the zero-trust security model for our clients by protecting critical assets with identity-driven microsegmentation, whether they are endpoints, servers, IoT or in the cloud.”
“This year’s Tekne Award winners exemplify the diversity and strength of Minnesota’s innovative economy,” said Margaret Anderson Kelliher, president and CEO of the MHTA. “The selected organisations all continuously challenge the status quo of the science and technology industries, and we were proud to honour them in this ceremony.”
