Air New Zealand gets ready for bumper day
Air New Zealand is gearing up for its busiest day of the year as customers in New Zealand and around the world get set to head to their holiday destinations.
The airline is expecting to operate more than 600 flights across its network tomorrow as more than 40,000 customers head away for the holiday break.
Air New Zealand General Manager Customer Experience Anita Hawthorne is reminding travellers to leave plenty of time to get to the airport.
“Our airports will be busier than usual tomorrow, so we ask our customers to be as patient as possible as we work to get everyone to where they need to be. We have additional staff on deck tomorrow in Auckland in both customer facing and operational roles to ensure the day goes as smoothly as possible.
“Customers are also encouraged to take out travel insurance so they’re covered in any unexpected situation and to sign up to Air New Zealand’sTravel Alerts service in case we need to make contact with them in the event of a travel disruption.”
Air New Zealand will carry more than six million customers between 1 December and the end of March 2019.
