North Shore based printing company, CMD Print Solutions are looking to give back to their local community with two
separate sponsorships this holiday season.
Servicing clients nationwide for over two decades, CMD Print Solutions have supported a range of different organisations
over the years – this year is no different with the company sponsoring the NZME Special Children’s Christmas party and
Harbour Hospice.
The Special Children’s Christmas Party is an event dedicated to special needs children and their families. At every
event across New Zealand these children are treated to a day of celebrity stage shows, fun rides, interactive games,
plenty of food, face painting and many more fun activities.
The highlight of the day is when the children enter Santa’s Toy Cave where they are given 2-3 high quality toys to call
their own. The goal of the Christmas party is simply – put a smile on these children’s faces and make them feel “normal”
for a day.
Additionally, CMD Print Solutions are also quite involved with Harbour Hospice, supporting and lending a hand at various
events throughout the year.
Over the Christmas period, the whole team will be helping at this year’s “Tree of Remembrance” – A large Christmas Tree
set up at the Albany Mall where shoppers can write a message to a lost loved one, make a donation and hang their message
on the tree.
These cards are then cremated allowing the smoke to float skyward. The ash will then be returned to Hospice to be
blessed by the local Chaplin and finally sprinkled over the garden at the hospice grounds.
“While the run-up to the holiday season can be a chaotic time in both business and our personal lives, it is a good time
to reflect and remember to think about others”, says CMD Print Solutions Managing Director, Danny van der Velde.
“Both of these organisations are important to us and they do amazing work, all year round”.
“We welcome anyone who is around the Albany mall in December to come say hello to one of our team members and take a
moment to reflect and appreciate those around them”.
