Australian Government Agency Approves SingleSource as a Gateway Service Provider for Document Verification Service
Australian accreditation follows SingleSource’s approval as an Intermediary to verify identity documents by New
Zealand’s Department of Internal Affairs.
Auckland, NZ, November 8th, 2018 - SingleSource, pioneers in decentralised identity and risk scoring have been accredited as a Document Verification Service (DVS)
Gateway Service Provider (GSP) by the Australian government. This follows their accreditation in June 2018 by New
Zealand’s Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) as an Intermediary to the Confirmation Service. The Confirmation Service
allows approved organisations to electronically check certain identity information directly against the New Zealand
government’s database. As a Confirmation Service Intermediary SingleSource can verify passport, citizenship and driver
license. SingleSource is the only decentralised identity protocol approved by the DIA.
As a DVS Gateway Service Provider, SingleSource is able to electronically verify Australian identity documents
including, driver license, Medicare card, passport, visa and birth certificate with a government record. GSPs are
authorised to direct information requests to and from the DVS hub on behalf of approved users.
30 million people on both sides of the Tasman now have the ability to have their identities verified by SingleSource’s
secure blockchain technology.
