Stuff welcomes Bauer Media to suite of content partners
26 November 2018
Today, Stuff has announced its latest media partnership with Bauer Media Group, which will see the news organisation publish content from Bauer’s premium current affairs and lifestyle titles on Stuff.
The partnership, officially launching today, is a nod to the opportunity New Zealand’s largest news website Stuff.co.nz presents as not just a publisher but a platform, serving both its readers and other businesses that choose to partner with it.
Stuff will share stories and videos from Bauer’s magazines and digital titles Now to Love, Homes to Love, Food to Love, Fashion Quarterly, Beauty Heaven and Noted, which curate content from Bauer’s popular magazines such as Metro, New Zealand Listener and North & South. It’s a win-win deal, offering Stuff’s 1.9 million unique monthly digital audience even more top-quality content, and Bauer the opportunity to maximise the reach of its content and help drive revenue.
Head of Digital at Bauer Media, Michael Fuyala, says, “Today our brands, content and videos are reaching more people than ever before, and Stuff, with the largest online audience in New Zealand, is an ideal partner to help us to extend that reach even further.”
As New Zealand’s largest digital website, Stuff isn‘t shy to look at how it can share its platform of the masses to support other organisations.
Excited to see where the new partnership leads, Editorial Director Mark Stevens says the scale and reach of Stuff - across more than a million Kiwis each day - means the site could act as a platform for other New Zealand publishers and businesses.
“Stuff allows publishers to reach high-quality and engaged audiences and customers, and offers a trusted alternative to the global platforms.
“We aim to be the home for New Zealand’s premier journalism, lifestyle and entertainment content, and are proud to be a vehicle for other publishers to reach the Stuff audience alongside our own journalism.
“Bauer is known for its broad range of top-class content, and I’m thrilled to be able to offer this as the latest addition to the Stuff audience.”
The announcement follows recently developed partnerships with the Chinese-New Zealand website Skykiwi, local Indian broadcaster Radio Tarana and Māori Television, which serve to better reflect Stuff’s diverse audience.
Other domestic content partners of Stuff include TVNZ, RNZ and Newsroom.co.nz which specialises in deep coverage of NZ news and affairs.
