Crimestoppers New Zealand has appointed Hadyn Smith as its new CEO.
Smith comes to the role with an extensive range of experience in the not-for-profit sector.
Crimestoppers New Zealand Acting Chair, Allan Freeth, said Smith’s experience meant he was well placed to lead
Crimestoppers and its work to support safer communities in New Zealand.
“Hadyn joins Crimestoppers at a time when the organisation is building momentum and developing important partnerships in
the fight against crime.
Crimestoppers provides an anonymous way to pass on information about a crime and it is a service valued by the New
Zealand Police and the wider community.”
The organisation also has a focus on supporting the reporting of harassment and bullying and unsafe work practices by
providing organisations with confidential reporting channels for staff and customers.
Smith has worked in leadership change-management positions with not-for-profits and charities, most recently with Survey
and Spatial New Zealand and Land Search and Rescue.
