Records Highest Ratings Ever,
Three
Wins Wednesday And Friday Nights
This
year’s Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards* was
Three’s highest rating Music Awards ever, gathering
a viewership of 77,675 viewers in the commercially important
25-54 demographic, up on last year’s 70,304 viewers. The
Awards hit a 20.1% share and 4.2 rating, winning its
timeslot amongst 25-54s, and also performed strongly online,
delivering year-on-year growth with on demand viewing up 10%
on the night and a 13% increase in live streaming.
Three won the night on Wednesday with an overall
audience share of 23.3% amongst 25-54s, with timeslot wins
from Kiwi favourite Grand Designs New Zealand* (23.5%
audience share, 6.0 rating) and by Aussie reno show
Buying Blind (19.8% share, 4.5 rating). The channel
also took out Friday night in the 25-54 demographic, hitting
an overall share of 23.0% with timeslot wins from comedy
favorites The Graham Norton Show (25.6% share, 6.6
rating) and 7 Days* (27.8% share, 6.1
rating).
The past three weeks has seen Three hit an
average share of 21.7% amongst 25-54s, a significant
increase compared to the same period last year which
recorded an average share of 19.6%.
The AM
Show continues to combat the competition, winning its
timeslot on Monday (29.0% share, 1.9 rating), Wednesday
(34.2% share, 1.8 rating), Thursday (30.1% share, 1.8
rating) and Friday (29.0% share, 1.6 rating) mornings, while
The Project won the current affairs audience
on Wednesday evening (17.8% share, 4.3 rating) in the
key 25-54 demographic.
This week, Grand Designs
New Zealand* finals on Wednesday with a extravagant
project, as Kate and Ian build a serious of pods offsite
which then need to be transported along 50kms of dangerous
road to a remote Milford Sound location. Thursday sees
All Star Family Feud return with a Funny Girls vs.
Funny Guys special, and on Sunday the final of
Australian Ninja Warrior takes place - will any Ninja
manage to conquer the legendary Mt Midoriyama?

wins for the week included:

Warrior (22.6% share, 6.8 rating), 9-1-1 (14.6%
share, 4.1 rating),
Tuesday: Australian Ninja
Warrior (24.7% share, 6.1 rating).
