Credit Simple launches New Zealand first: credit profiling for business
Credit Simple for Business helps small to medium enterprises to
assess their business’ risk profile
29 October 2018 – Credit score company CreditSimple.co.nz has added another string to its bow by launching a free business solution – Credit Simple for Business – aimed at helping small to medium enterprises (SMEs) in Australia and New Zealand assess their business’ credit score and risk profile. Credit Simple will deliver business credit scores and risk profiles for SMEs from illion (formerly Dun & Bradstreet).
More than 1.2 million people have signed up to Credit Simple across Australia and New Zealand, accessing their own credit score and credit information instantly, online and free. Now the company is turning its attention to businesses, in particular SMEs, to offer them the same benefits – Credit Simple for Business works the same way Credit Simple does for consumers.
Credit Simple CEO David Scognamiglio said the new initiative is the latest in a line of ways the credit score company is evolving to better meet the needs of consumers and the business world alike.
“Credit Simple is not just about giving free access to credit scores for consumers,” Mr Scognamiglio said. “In the past year we’ve launched a number of new initiatives through the Credit Simple platform, including spend tracker Money Simple and Clear Name, a way for consumers to pay off unpaid defaults at a discount. Credit Simple is constantly evolving with new ways to crunch credit information and help people live their best financial lives.
“We see two key benefits for directors. Firstly, they’ll be able to see their business credit score and risk profiling for their company such as, how likely that business is to default on payments or go into external administration, for free. This information used to cost companies hundreds of dollars. Secondly, they’ll be able to access offers for loans, credit cards and utilities, lead and marketing services relevant to their business, to help them operate and grow more efficiently.”
Credit information available through Credit Simple for Business is pulled from business data analytics company illion. Directors will be able to contribute and update information on their business through the system to illion.
“We’re excited to be able to extend Credit Simple to a business-focused offering,” Mr Scognamiglio added. “Credit Simple for Business will enable business owners and directors to make informed decisions about their own company in the same way individuals are evaluated based on their credit risk, and access offers tailored to them to help them succeed.”
New Zealand consumers and businesses can find out their credit score and see their information at CreditSimple.co.nz.
