Enterprise Dunedin appoints Seven Communications

Enterprise Dunedin has appointed public relations agency Seven Communications to provide year-round publicity support in the Australian market.

Enterprise Dunedin Director John Christie said the appointment will help raise the city’s profile as a ‘must see’ destination amongst Australian travellers.

“Dunedin is at the beginning of an exciting new era and we want to ensure the message reaches this all-important visitor market.

“We have been actively marketing the city in Australia for many years, with seasonal campaigns such as Where the Wild Things Are, but having an agency on the ground will allow us to take an ‘always on’ year-round approach, and be more agile in seeking and responding to opportunities,” he said.

Seven, which maintains offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne were selected for their wealth of experience as travel PR specialists and clear understanding of Dunedin’s visitor proposition.

Seven Communications Managing Director Heather Mollins said Seven Communications is thrilled to help promote Dunedin as a place for Australians to holiday.

“There are so many stories to tell from Dunedin's food, craft beer, outdoor experiences, history and more.

“It's a great privilege to share those stories with Australian consumer media,” she said.

Australia is currently New Zealand’s most significant international visitor market, accounting for a spend of $2,695 million nationally and $55.6 million in Dunedin for the year to August 2018.
