Deloitte is pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Reid as a Director for Digital Health, in its Consulting service line. She joins Deloitte today and is based in Auckland.
Ms Reid has been the General Manager of Orion Health in New Zealand since 2015 and she is the current chair of New Zealand Health IT (NZHIT). Deloitte is pleased to support NZHIT with its goal of enabling a healthier New Zealand through technology solutions and has joined this vibrant network as a corporate member.
Deloitte’s National Consulting Leader Cobus Scholtz says Deloitte is very excited to have Kate join the firm. Kate will be working with Deloitte’s Health Sector Leader Thorsten Engel, to further expand Deloitte’s offerings and services to the industry.
“Kate is well known and respected in the industry as a dynamic leader adept at pursuing partnerships and collaborations that ultimately help improve health care outcomes for New Zealanders. She is passionate about the role of digital in driving precision health care. During her time at Orion Health, she has successfully grounded their brand in New Zealand as a technology company that can deliver the tools health care organisations need today,” says Mr Scholtz.
“Health care is evolving as the industry undergoes significant change. At Deloitte we are looking to increase our capability to help the industry navigate and respond to this disruption and complexity, and Kate will make an immediate and positive impact on these efforts.”
Deloitte’s Health Care Team is also proud to sponsor next month’s Health Informatics New Zealand (HiNZ) conference in Wellington and will have a booth at the conference. Both Kate and Thorsten will be on hand to talk to industry attendees about smarter health care and innovative ways of working.
