New-look Yellow launches digital solutions for SMEs

17 September 2018 – Yellow has today launched a comprehensive digital marketing offering of needs-based solutions, designed to help SMEs thrive.
The launch marks the final stage in the organisation’s transformation to become a leading digital marketing company in New Zealand, providing a strong online offering, while retaining their focus on the small to medium businesses that make up 97 per cent of Kiwi enterprise[1].
Yellow’s CEO Darren Linton says Yellow’s heritage means it knows New Zealand SMEs like no other digital marketing company in the country. “Our purpose is to help every business grow. We have a proud history of helping Kiwi SMEs market their products and services and we’re now expert players in digital marketing solutions that get businesses online, increase their digital presence and tell their business story.
“We have collaborated with world-class international providers to pull together some excellent tools at an affordable price, to help Kiwi businesses take off.”
The new-look Yellow.co.nz offers a suite of individual or conveniently packaged solutions as well as options for monthly payments, in what could be considered as one of New Zealand’s first subscription marketing offerings.
The products have been designed to provide an agency-style service on a digital platform – and are intended to save business owners time.
Yellow’s website allows customers to use the online Machine as a diagnostic tool to find the best solution for their individual requirements and fully customise it for their specific business.
“We’ve been working with SMEs for almost 60 years,” says Linton. “So, we understand their business challenges. Yellow’s Marketing Machine offers new, automated, online solutions to our 20,000 paying digital customers, so they can focus on running their business and trust their digital marketing strategy is in reliable hands.”
The four core packages, designed to address the pain points of small business owners, include:
Get Started: The digital essentials to get businesses up and running online, including Search Ads – targeting customers searching on Google for business services, the Yellow Premium Profile – giving customers all the information they need about a business and Gold Category Search Ranking – how businesses leap frog the competition, put their business front and centre and get more control over where they appear.
Grow & Promote: Includes all the Get Started perks, plus Facebook Content; a monthly series of posts designed for each business and scheduled to appear on their Facebook page.
Share with Followers: An option for SMEs needing Facebook content only.
Create Content: The perks of Facebook Content and Video with a Boost – Yellow produces video for SMEs and boosts it online.
Linton explains, “These products are designed to help SMEs flourish, for those looking to go online for the first time to create listings and social media content; to SMEs looking to grow their online following, get more customers calling and visiting; and SMEs looking to find, grow and keep great customers.”
Yellow customer Mike Pero, Owner, Mike Pero Real Estate says: “We’ve partnered with Yellow since the early ‘90s and grown with them – they’ve become an extension of our marketing team. Yellow’s new offering demonstrates their dedication to evolve with digital marketing technology and commitment to helping Kiwi SMEs do the same.”
Yellow’s own business transformation has seen its services progress beyond its world-famous-in-New-Zealand Yellow Pages into the leading digital marketing partner and network that connects 1.7 million Kiwis monthly.
And while it’s offering an online solution, Yellow still has a strong (human) customer support team and regional offices around the country.
