Ecostore Launches Special Limited-Edition Black Bottles in Support of Charity
20c from every limited-edition bottle sold to Sustainable Coastlines
Ecostore announces the launch of their Vanilla & Coconut Hand Wash and Body Wash in a special limited-edition black bottle. The black bottles will be available for a limited time, from September 2018.
The popular Vanilla & Coconut Hand Wash and Body Wash is made from plant-based ingredients, including hydrating harakeke (New Zealand flax), to gently cleanse, condition and nourish your skin. The ingredients are suitable for septic tanks and are safer for the environment. With proper greywater systems in place, any rinse water used while cleaning or in your shower or bath can safely be re-used on your flower gardens, lawns and trees. The bottles are made from renewable and sustainable sugar plastic, which is 100% recyclable and helps to reduce your carbon footprint.
For every limited-edition bottle sold, ecostore will give 20c to New Zealand charity Sustainable Coastlines. Ecostore is hoping to raise over $7,500 for Sustainable Coastlines to support the great work they do keeping our coastlines and waterways clean. Ecostore’s sponsorship of Sustainable Coastlines, as well as the funds raised through the limited-edition bottles, will go towards their highly successful education, clean-up and tree planting work.
Sustainable Coastlines General Manager, Ryley Webster, said the charity was thrilled to be working with ecostore.
“We’re excited about the opportunity to work with ecostore to fund our ongoing work and promote bottle refills through this campaign.”
Sustainable Coastlines coordinate and support educational programs, public awareness campaigns and large-scale coastal clean-up events. Together, ecostore and Sustainable Coastlines have organised a large coastal clean-up event, which will take place at Takapuna Beach on Auckland’s North Shore on Saturday 3rd November.
New Zealand award winning guitarist and singer-songwriter, Jamie McDell, will be joining the clean-up, and will be rewarding her fans and helpers with a free gig afterwards.
“I would like to inspire my fans to get outside and love the outdoors as much as I do and join me to help clean up Auckland’s coastline on 3 November. It also happens to be my 26th birthday on this day so I would love my fans to come join me to celebrate.
"I've spent my entire life near or on the ocean, but I have also watched the decline, which is heart-breaking for me. Most of the rubbish on the beach is from careless littering. All drains lead to the sea so when people drop rubbish in the street it will inevitably end up in the coastline. I’m also a big fan of ecostore and Sustainable Coastlines so I jumped at the chance to be part of this partnership.”
Senior Brand Manager Deanna Walker says ecostore is delighted to have Jamie McDell on board to help promote the protection of our environment, and the company completely supports the critical role Sustainable Coastlines plays in mobilising New Zealanders to look after our beaches and rivers.
“We have partnered with Sustainable Coastlines as part of our commitment to sustainability. Ecostore began with values firmly rooted in sustainability, and we continue to operate in this way. Our products and packaging are made with respect and care for the environment, made from renewable resources, and are designed for continuous re-use.”
Ecostore is encouraging people to reuse their limited-edition bottle, reducing waste every time they refill it. Ecostore will be providing a discounted refill event, which will take place at the Sustainable Coastlines Flagship Education Centre in Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter on Saturday 17 November. Sustainable Coastlines is installing an ecostore Refill Stop at their Flagship to help promote Kiwis to refill bottles themselves. Jamie McDell will also play acoustic at the refill event from her third studio album, ‘Extraordinary Girl’, which was independently released earlier this year.
The new limited-edition black bottles from ecostore are available in supermarkets nationwide from September 2018. Vanilla & Coconut Hand Wash 250ml, RRP $5.99. Vanilla & Coconut Hand Wash 500ml Refill, RRP $7.99. Vanilla & Coconut Body Wash 400ml, RRP $7.99.
