General Aviation Safety Gets a Boost with New Spidertracks Plan Options
New Zealand-based flight safety specialists Spidertracks have today launched two new plans designed to help boost aviation safety by making valuable features more accessible.
Spidertracks’ Chief Marketing Officer Todd O’Hara says the new plans are aimed at both recreational flyers and lower-hour commercial users.
“Spidertracks is the world leader in real-time tracking as a safety service — and while our core business is in enabling fleets of three or more to better manage their safety and operational efficiency, it’s important to us not to shut out other users from access to a service that could save lives.
“In general, lower-hour operators like the ones these plans are designed for fly in higher-risk profiles than high-hour commercial operators, and they aren’t typically flying under a robust safety management system with an emergency response plan.
“Having real-time visibility of an aircraft (or, in some cases, a family member) can help alleviate a lot of the risk and stress involved in aviation.
One of our biggest drivers at Spidertracks is our ambition to make the aviation community a safer place to live and work in.”
The two new plans include a prepaid and a monthly option. Both are available with no contract.
1. The first of the new plans is a ‘pay-as-you-go (PAYG),’ with an annual fee of US$249 that includes up to 50 hours of tracking data and 250 Spidertxt messages and has the usual access to Spidertracks’ core features.
2. The second plan (which we’re calling ‘Lite’) is lower-usage than our current Basic plan, with a monthly fee of US$59 and 30 hours of tracking data per month and has the usual access to Spidertracks’ core features.
