Bell Gully confirmed as exclusive legal supplier for Emirates Team New Zealand
Bell Gully is proud to announce that it is an exclusive legal supplier to Emirates Team New Zealand for the 36th America's Cup defence.
Bell Gully Chair Anna Buchly said the firm is delighted to be working with Emirates Team New Zealand – an organisation that continues to be on the forefront of technology and innovation as well as representing the country with distinction on the international stage.
"I think we were all enthralled by the last America's Cup in Bermuda – the impressive AC50s, the intense high speed racing and, of course, Emirates Team New Zealand lifting the cup," she said.
"As an exclusive legal supplier for the 36th America's Cup defence, we are proud to become part of the Emirates Team New Zealand team and contribute to defending the 'Auld Mug' in 2021."
After winning in Bermuda last year, Emirates Team New Zealand is set to host the next America's Cup Match in Auckland in March 2021, preceded by the Prada Cup, the challenger selection series to determine who will race Emirates Team New Zealand in the Match. The 36th America's Cup has already attracted interest from around the world, with Circolo della Vela Sicilia (represented by Luna Rossa Challenge) set as the "Challenger of Record" for the regatta.
A number of other challengers, including Ben Ainslie's INEOS Team UK and the New York Yacht Club, will be competing in Auckland with a series of preliminary regattas in the new AC75s at other venues around the world scheduled to commence next year.
