They came in worse than expected:

Trade Balance (Jun) $113mio deficit Consensus $200mio surplus
- Imports (Jun) $5.02bio Consensus $4.92bio
- Exports (Jun) $4.91bio Consensus $5.06bio

Trade Balance Year to June $4.03bio deficit Consensus $3.68bio deficit.

The year to June Trade Balance (deficit) is the worst since 2009.

The NZD is marginally lower in immediate response.

Current indicative rates are:

NZD-AUD 0.9145 / 0.9170
NZD-EUR 0.5805 / 0.5830
NZD-GBP 0.5160 / 0.5185
NZD-JPY 75.50 / 75.75
