Board announces search for new Chief Executive

Board announces search for new Chief Executive

July 16 2018

The KiwiRail Board has today announced Chief Executive Peter Reidy will leave the State Owned Enterprise after four years in the role.

Mr Reidy joined KiwiRail in March 2014 and the Board says he has steered the organisation through considerable change over that time.

“The Board would like to acknowledge Peter’s significant contribution particularly in the areas of customer service, commercial performance, improvements in health and safety and leading a step-change in culture.

“He leaves behind a revitalised and strong management team, a positive ‘One KiwiRail’ culture in our 3400 people and an organisation which is primed for growth.”

Mr Reidy will join Fletcher Construction as Chief Executive later this year. The Board will commence its search for a new KiwiRail leader immediately.
