Bell Gully advises on nationally significant Asset Management and Facilities Management contract
Bell Gully has advised the Department of Corrections on a new national Asset Management and Facilities Management Services contract, considered to be one of the most significant outsourcings by the New Zealand Government in recent years.
Under the comprehensive new agreement, Downer EDI Limited will be working closely with Department of Corrections and Ministry of Justice to deliver efficient and sustainable asset and facilities management services across the Department of Corrections’ and Ministry of Justice’s national property and asset portfolios.
Bell Gully’s role in this transaction was led by partners David Chisnall, Hugh Kettle and Simon Watt. Bell Gully has also closely supported all of the EOI, RFP and preferred contractor negotiation work-streams.
The contract is for a ten-year period with Downer expected to take over from the current provider, Spotless Facilities Services NZ Limited (Spotless), during the second half of 2018.
