Twenty Years of Hard Work Attracts Significant Investment

Twenty Years of Hard Work Attracts Significant Overseas Investment

One of New Zealand’s most successful recruitment firms, Kinetic, has attracted the attention of a worldwide recruitment group, which has made a significant investment into the New Zealand business to underpin a strategy of growth and specialist development in this market.

Australian based Bluefin Resources Group have acquired 100% of the shares in Kinetic, an Auckland based recruitment company with branches in five centres throughout NewZealand, servicing the general recruitment market.

Kinetic founder and Managing Director, Kate Ross, said the investment was a major vote of confidence in the Kinetic business, it’s staff and the prospects for the NZ economy. She will remain with Kinetic as CEO to oversee the planned growth and development of the business.

Bluefin Resources Group is a leading specialist recruitment firm with premium brands in Bluefin Resources and the recently acquired Jigsaw Talent Management. New Zealand represents a substantial growth opportunity for Bluefin Resources Group, and after a significant review of the NZ market it was clear that Kinetic was a stand-out performer.

James Hone, CEO of Bluefin Resources Group, is thrilled with the acquisition and excited about the partnership with Kate and her team. Bluefin Resources Group were acquired by Tokyo headquartered Outsourcing Inc in August 2015. Outsourcing Inc are a global staffing business with substantial market share in Japan, Europe, America’s and Asia.

“We see great scope for growth in the NZ market, where we now have five branches, and this confidence is shared by Outsourcing Inc, which wants to double the size of our business here and move us into other specialist recruitment areas,” Mrs Ross said.

“It’s a fabulous opportunity for our all-female staff of 35 to take advantage of the skills and connections this partnership can deliver,” she said.

Mrs Ross said the fact that the business was all women was not part of a deliberate strategy, but reflected the excellent inter-personal skills that her staff had developed with their clients in a whole range of industries across the NZ economy.

“We look forward to expanding that presence in all five centres in which we operate, to continue to bring excellence in recruitment services to New Zealand companies,” said Mrs Ross.
