New Board Members announced for Pāmu

Published: Fri 27 Apr 2018 05:07 PM
Landcorp Farming Ltd’s (Pāmu) shareholding ministers have made three appointments to the board to replace Chairman Traci Houpapa and Directors Nikki Davies-Colley, Pauline Lockett and Eric Roy, whose appointment terms have ended.
Nigel Atherfold, Hayley Gourley and Belinda Storey will all join the board from 1 May. The shareholder has also advised that current board member Chris Day will be acting Chairman, until the process to appoint a new Chairman is completed.
Nigel Atherfold has a background in banking and corporate finance and has been a director of value-add dairy sector companies. Hayley Gourley is a Rabobank executive and agri-economist with a career advising on global food and agribusiness companies, and Belinda Storey is a senior HR professional and environmental risk specialist.
Outgoing Chairman Traci Houpapa welcomed the new members of the board, saying all three brought a wealth of experience in both the agri-sector and through involvement in the business sector more generally.
Ms Houpapa also congratulated Chris Day on his appointment as acting chair, saying he brought continuity to the role, and a deep knowledge of the company after six years on the board.
Mr Day said it was a real privilege to lead the board. He said his focus would be on getting the new board settled in and keeping the company on track to deliver for shareholders and all New Zealanders.
