Air New Zealand gearing up for Ed Sheeran
Air New Zealand is preparing for a busy weekend on its network, with thousands of Ed Sheeran fans heading to Auckland to see the Grammy Award winning British pop star perform.
The airline will operate around 60 additional one-way flights to accommodate customers going to the singer’s three shows in Auckland this weekend and three shows in Dunedin next weekend as part of his New Zealand tour.
The services are being operated by a mix of A320, ATR and Q300 aircraft.
Air New Zealand Customer Care Manager Debbie McKeown says it’s a timely reminder to domestic customers booked to travel during this busy period to consider taking out travel insurance.
“Many of our customers will be excited to get to some of the big events on this weekend, including the Ed Sheeran concerts, and we know a lot of travellers have made a significant investment in tickets, flights and accommodation.
“Our operations teams are ready to get our customers to their destination over the coming weekends, which include the Easter break, but it’s important to be prepared for any unexpected situations which may arise outside of our control.”
