Lyttelton Port Company honours confidentiality agreement
Lyttelton Port Company honours confidentiality agreement made today with Union
(Amended and reissued)
During mediation today Lyttelton Port Company and the Rail and Maritime Transport Union (RMTU) agreed to a confidentiality arrangement regarding the detail of their negotiations.
LPC Operations Manager Paul Monk says that to honour this agreement LPC will not be providing any comment on the negotiations.
“The RMTU strike notices remain in place at the Port for 21 to 25 March.
“Based on this, shipping lines are already making decisions not to call at Lyttelton Port next week. Many of these decisions will be irreversible even if the strike notices are withdrawn after today.
“We will be working with customers to try and minimise the disruption that will be caused by the RMTU industrial action.
“Lyttelton Port Company remains committed to resolving the dispute.”
