Newshub Live at 6pm Hits Ratings High for 2018
Three won the week in the commercially important 25-54 demographic with an average weekly rating of 4.5 and average weekly audience share of 23.1%, up 2.8 share points year-on-year and 3.3 share points year-to-date.
Newshub Live at 6pm had its best week so far in 2018 with an average weekly rating of 5.0 and an average weekly audience share of 24.8% amongst 25-54s. Thursday’s bulletin rated a 5.3 with 28.6% audience share in the 25-54 demographic, while Friday’s bulletin won its timeslot in the same demographic with a 5.7 rating and 28.8% audience share. This week, Newshub Latelaunches its new presenting lineup of Wilhelmina Shrimpton hosting the bulletin from Monday to Wednesday, and Sacha McNeil hosting on Thursday and Friday.
Married At First Sight Australia had another huge week with an average weekly rating of 7.6 and average audience share of 28.2% amongst the 25-54 audience. Married At First Sight Australiawon its timeslot on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings amongst 25-54s with Tuesday’s episode hitting an 8.9 rating and 31% audience share. This week on Married At First Sight Australia, a boys-only night turns ugly, causing one couple to unleash at the dinner party.
Kiwis are choosing Three as the place to kick off their weekend, with the channel winning Friday night amongst 25-54s. The Graham Norton Show won its timeslot with a 4.5 rating and 20% audience share as acting legends Helen Mirren and Liam Neeson joined Graham on the couch. Local favourite 7 Days* also won its timeslot with a 5.2 rating and 25.3% audience share.
The Rock hosted their annual Demon Energy Rock the Park concert on Saturday, with over 14,000 music lovers attending. Kiwi rock legends The Datsuns impressed the crowd at Auckland’s Grey Lynn Park, alongside Head Like A Hole, Villainy, and Dead Favours.
