The Administrators of Meccano 2016 Limited (Administrators Appointed) trading as Meccano have advised that they have been unable to secure a buyer for the business.
Administrator, Neale Jackson from KordaMentha said that without expressions of interest being received, there was no choice but to wind down the business.
“We now move to the next phase of administration which is to sell down all stock through the current store network”.
With immediate effect, all stock, including new season styles, is discounted by between 40-70% for sale. Mr Jackson said that seven (7) stores remain open – Auckland (LynMall, Manukau, St Lukes, Albany), The Base and Centreplace in Hamilton, and Riccarton in Christchurch.
