Placemakers Joins Aa Smartfuel as Premium Partner
Customers set to benefit instantly from new Know How Rewards programme
Kiwis with a passion for building projects are set to maximise their purchases at PlaceMakers stores, thanks to a new-look loyalty programme and partnership with fuel discount giant AA Smartfuel. Cardholders can accumulate 20 cents per litre off fuel for every $100 spend or get a 10% instant in-store discount .
The partnership signals a step-change for New Zealand’s largest building material and hardware supplier as the former Know How Card makes way for Know How Rewards, a faster, easier and more rewarding loyalty programme for the 200,000+ -strong customer base across 58 stores nationwide. All current Know How Card customers will be automatically transferred to the new Know How Rewards programme.
AA Smartfuel has 2.5million registered cardholders with over 1 million active users each month, earning $100 million in fuel savings each year.
For every $100 (inclusive of GST) or more spent in a PlaceMakers store, Know How Rewards members can choose either 10% off their purchase or accumulate 20c off per litre of fuel. Rewards can be accessed instantly.
Bruce McEwen, PlaceMakers General Manager, said the opportunity to create a streamlined and engaging programme that offers a choice of high-value rewards sets PlaceMakers apart as the ‘go to’ DIY retailer for Kiwis wanting to make their money work harder.
“We are thrilled to be on board with AA Smartfuel as part of our new Know How Rewards programme, and it couldn’t be simpler for our customers to take advantage of the excellent discounts available,” said Mr McEwen. ”They can still take up instore promotions as well so shopping at PlaceMakers will be better value than ever.”
PlaceMakers customers simply sign up free instore or online for the Know How Rewards programme.
AA Smartfuel Director Ian Sutcliffe is excited to add PlaceMakers to the line up of partners and expects customers to reap the benefits from the new partnership.
“Adding PlaceMakers to our programme gives everyday Kiwis who love getting stuck in to their projects around the house another reason to stack- up fuel discounts as a reward option – it’s a smart choice.”
The new Know How Rewards website provides a dashboard for members to track their discounts as well as extra information on the programme https://knowhowrewards.placemakers.co.nz .
