WSP Opus donates $40,000 to Kiwi Charities

Employees at WSP Opus offices around New Zealand voted for their favourite charities to receive a donation, as part of an employee-led initiative to support the work of organisations that provide essential services that serve New Zealand communities.

Leading the votes were St John New Zealand and the SPCA who each received a donation of $20,000 from WSP Opus at special cheque presentation events in Auckland this month.

The nationwide charities, who provide services to New Zealand communities year-round, say they rely on donations to operate and $20,000 will go a long way to support their work, and the people and animals whose lives they protect and save every year.

Ian Blair, Managing Director, WSP Opus says “It’s important to all New Zealanders that we’re a nation who cares for those who are sick, suffering, in danger and need assistance. We’re very proud that our people chose two charities whose work provides help when it’s needed most, and we applaud the important contribution that St John and the SPCA make in our communities.”
