Diversity Works new Chief Executive announced

“Chairman of Diversity Works, Michael Barnett, confirmed the appointment of its new Chief Executive, Rachel Hopkins.
Rachel joins Diversity Works from the Senior Leadership Team at Competenz where she engaged with regional business owners to address skills shortages and worked to increase Māori and Pasifika participation in workplace qualifications. With degrees in Law and Feminist Studies, Rachel has nearly 25 years’ experience across private businesses, government and not-for-profit organisations.
Early in her career, she owned her own services marketing business in Sydney and worked for a global law firm in London. More recently, she worked in executive search in Wellington and held management roles at The Icehouse and The University of Auckland Business School. She has studied Design Thinking at Stanford and was the winner of the 2016 Institute of Directors’ Emerging Director Award (Auckland).
Rachel will join Diversity Works at the beginning of April 2018. “
