Senior leadership revamp at WorkSafe

WorkSafe New Zealand has welcomed the addition of three members to its senior leadership team.

Jude Urlich, General Manager, Strategy and Performance

Jude joins WorkSafe after eight years in PHARMAC’s senior leadership team where she led corporate and policy functions, and most recently was Director of Engagement and Implementation.

Jude holds a Master of Public Policy and has extensive experience across multiple sectors in the management of community engagement, Government and sector relations, policy and communications.

Phil Parkes, Chief Operating Officer

After three years as WorkSafe’s General Manager – Better Regulation, Phil was appointed into the inaugural position of Chief Operating Officer.

Phil’s background includes work with the New Zealand Environmental Protection Authority and he brings strong regulatory and leadership experience from his work in local and central Government both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Mike Foley, Chief Digital and Information Officer

Mike joins WorkSafe after Chief Information Officer roles with Instant Finance, Auckland Council and Watercare Services (Auckland Transition Agency).

Mike has a track record for digital innovation, strategic planning and leadership. He has developed and led high performing teams and will complement WorkSafe’s maturing digital presence.

WorkSafe Chief Executive Nicole Rosie congratulated each on their appointments and welcomed them to WorkSafe:
