DLA Piper’s Katie Carson Wins Notable International Award
DLA Piper partner Katie Carson has been chosen by the international Client Choice Awards (www.clientchoice.com) as the exclusive winner of the legal services Banking Category for New Zealand. She has now won this award for two
years in a row.
Katie joined DLA Piper’s New Zealand Financial Services team in May 2017, with 20 years of broad transactional and
regulatory experience in the domestic and international financial markets. This award recognises her commitment to
outstanding client service. Katie is passionate about working with clients as part of the team, bringing clarity and
strategy to complex problems.
The Client Choice Awards were established worldwide 13 years ago. They are convened by the International Law Office (www.internationallawoffice.com) in association with international law news provider Lexology.
The idea behind the awards is to identify and recognise law firms and partners worldwide who have demonstrated an
ability to add real value to clients' businesses. Nominees can only be promoted by in-house counsel (clients) and it is
done without the knowledge of the nominee.
The Client Choice Awards gather feedback, then clients are asked to rate individual lawyers and law firms on quality of
advice, commercial awareness, industry knowledge and strategic thinking. Shortlisted candidates are then asked to submit
client referees.
Winners are regarded as the ‘best of the best’ amongst lawyers worldwide for the client care that they provide and the
quality of their service.
