IFSO Scheme farewells Dame Paula Rebstock, welcomes Sue Suckling as Chair
The Insurance & Financial Services Ombudsman Scheme farewells Dame Paula Rebstock after eight years as Chair of the IFSO Scheme Commission, and welcomes new Chair Sue Suckling.
“Dame Paula made an outstanding contribution and oversaw significant change and expansion throughout her eight-year term,” says Insurance & Financial Services Ombudsman, Karen Stevens. “We are grateful for Dame Paula’s guidance and wish her well with her many endeavours.”
Sue Suckling brings vast commercial and leadership experience to the role, together with 25 years of public and private sector governance.
“Sue’s leadership experience covers sectors as diverse as science and technology, international marketing, trade, innovation, arts, food processing, broadcasting, agriculture, banking, education and health,” says Karen.
Sue is currently Chair of ECL Group Ltd, Jacobsen Pacific Ltd, New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA), Callaghan Innovation, Jade Software, and Lincoln Agritech Hub. She is also Director of Sky City Entertainment Group (NZX).
For 23 years, the IFSO Scheme has provided a free and independent service, responding to complaints and enquiries about insurance and financial services.
“We work to provide a high quality, highly accessible dispute resolution scheme for insurance and financial service providers and their customers,” says Karen.
“As Chair of our Commission, Sue will bring insight, wisdom, and energy. We look forward to her leadership.”
